World Book Day
What a wonderful day was had by all! The costumes were amazing and so imaginative and creative.
During the course of the school day we had "Drop Everything and Read" sessionswherein staff swapped classes and read favourite stories to the children.
Prior to that, mystery pictures were taken of said teachers and put up around the school. The children were then tasked with trying to identify which teacher it was in the picture.
The children brought favourite books into school and within class, explored and discussed them.
Finally EY/KS1 paraded in their costumes for KS2 then vice versa. It was so lovely to see the genuine joy and support each group gave the other!
It was also lovely to see some parents at our parade. Thank you for coming.
Thank you to all the staff but in particular Mrs Khanam for her organisation of the events. KS2 are now very much looking forward to visiting the Redbridge library on the 14th March to meet the wonderful author Tola Okogwu.
